BEGINNER'S CLASSES

Every Saturday Morning -10am - 12:30pm:

$35 all inclusive for basic kit. Class Fee $25 - Kits from $10.

Learn to make a gorgeous single strand necklace as well as matching earrings. The techniques covered include learning to connect the beading wire (tiger tail) to the clasp using crimp beads, as well as how to make a basic loop to connect the earring pin (headpin) to the earring hooks. Basic design and colour tips are also covered. You get to take home your creations in a special organza pouch.

"Dainty Drop" Chainmaille Necklace

In this class you will learn how to weave in the ancient method of chainmaille creating this cute drop style necklace featuring a Swarovski crystal feature pendant (to be available in a variety of colours).  Versions of rings available will include silver, gold, black oxide, bronze and sterling silver.

"Watch Me" - Chainmaille stretch bracelet with watchface

Make a practical choice with this easy to wear stretch chainmaille watch bracelet.  Combining metal and rubber jump rings in the art of the chainmaille technique, this bracelet will allow for a comfortable fit with the option of a slider clasp if required.  The rubber rings come in a range of colours along with the metal rings for a massive range of colour combinations!

"Duplicity" - Double-strand Bracelet & Earrings

Using either beautiful handmade beads by Liz DeLuca as focals or faceted gemstone beads, we learn to weave with 2 strands of tiger tail which are combined with faceted crystals, freshwater pearls, Delica seed beads and finished with either precious metal or base metal findings.  The matching earrings will teach you the wrapped loop technique using headpins for a safe & secure finish.
Suitable for beginners

"Eager Weaver" - Beaded cabochon - Advanced Peyote

Create this amazing beaded pendant by surrounding focals similar to those pictured above such as Osima shell (left), Handmade bead (centre) or Catseye Stone (right) with lots of "little" seed beads!!   If you are after a handmade bead - it may be a good idea to come into the shop to select the bead first so we can do up the kit for you to match the colours.  Otherwise we will be putting together lots of kits that you can choose from on the day.  The pendant kit comes with a piece of velvet and plated ribbon end connections for a lovely vintage style.
Suitable for intermediate to advanced (Peyote knowledge required)

WED 29th (6pm) or SATURDAY 1st August(1:30pm)

"Zircon" - Wired Crystal Hairpiece

Using wireworking techniques, we will show you how to make this stunning hairpiece featuring a cubic zirconia flower pendant surrounded by an array of Czech leaves & Swarovski crystal beads & drops which is wired onto a metal comb for the hair.  I will also show you how to make your own flower instead of the cubic zirconia version (if this is too blingy for you!).  There will the be usual range of colours to choose from so they will all look totally different!
Suitable for intermediate (some wirework experience useful but not essential)
